Google Duo testing a bottom bar UI during calls
With telephones getting taller and taller, Google has grown fonder of bottom bars in its apps. The newest app to get a new interface focused round transferring crucial shortcuts to the bottom is Google Duo.
In a server-side alternate, Duo has relocated motion buttons during a video or audio name from the left facet of the display to the bottom. The digicam off, mute, and turn cam buttons now flank the crimson name button on each and every facet, with an extra overflow menu at the proper. For now, the best choice to be had there’s the low mild mode toggle, however with a bit of luck that is a signal of extra features one day.
Left: Current interface with buttons at the facet. Right: New bottom bar, expanded to turn Low Light.
Since that is a server-side alternate, we do not know if the brand new UI is in testing or in a slow rollout. It appears to be related with v67 of Google Duo, however no longer everybody on that model is seeing it simply but.
